FETAC Level 6 HACCP Works!
Mary Daly Associates are pleased to launch the FETAC Level 6 -“HACCP Works-Food Safety Management for Business”
This part time programme is designed to enable learners to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to develop, implement and evaluate their food safety management system, based on the HACCP principals and in accordance with best practice and current food safety legislation. This is a Diploma Level / 3rd Level Qualification and is part of Quality & Qualifications Ireland.
A well designed HACCP System will ensure a safe food safety management system is applied comprehensively to the reparation, production and service of food within your business.
It is suitable for students who can work independently. There is 22 hours contact time over 4 days with our licensed Trainers. There is a requirement for the same amount of independent study time outside of course hours. Students need to be able to take responsibility for their own learning. Potential student candidates need to have completed Certified Food Safety Training in the past and or have three years experience in a supervisory or management role. Application forms will be sent to interested persons two weeks in advance of the course. 40% of the allotted marks are based on an exam and 60% of the marks are allotted to a work place project.
Day 1: Legal Responsibilities & Codex Principles of HACCP
Day 2: Development and Implementation of a HACCP & application of CODEX Principles.
Day 3: Documentation for a Food Safety Management System and the evaluation of a HACCP system. Auditing and how to complete a Hygiene Audit.
Day 4: Maintaining a HACCP System. Project Review and Exam
