Level 1 Food Safety, HACCP and Allergen Awareness

This course aims to provide the food workers with the basic skills as laid out by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI). The topics include introduction to food safety law and enforcement, allergens, microbiological hazards & food poisoning, personal hygiene, cleaning, pest control, waste management and an overview of HACCP.

This 2-hour course is suitable for front-of-house staff, pantry staff, and as a refresher course for food handlers who have completed training in the past.

 

Level 2 Food Safety, HACCP and Allergen Awareness

The aim of this course is to provide food workers with adequate training in the basic principles of food safety and HACCP. This course also covers the necessary skills required to practice HACCP effectively in the workplace. Through this course you will gain valuable knowledge on the following topics:

This day-long course is suitable for all staff involved in the handling of food e.g. chefs, catering assistants, food production workers and service staff. There are no minimum entry requirements for this course, as it is a combined Level 1 & Level 2 course based on FSAI guidelines.

 

Effective Cleaning and Infection Control Management

This course has been specifically developed to support businesses to effectively maintain their workplace environments hygienically and safely. A practical, hands-on training course provides cleaning operators with skills and knowledge to perform their tasks to the required standard set by HIQA. With the aim to increase awareness of infection control and improve cleaning standards, the course covers the main areas as audited by HIQA – hand hygiene, environment, waste management, management of body spills, personal protective equipment, linen management and the management of patient equipment.

This brand-new course is specifically designed for senior personnel and staff members in food, drinks and hospitality sector to give them a comprehensive overview on the importance of sustainability in the workplace.
